Wendy Hodor

Wendy brings more than 25 years of experience as an advocate for special needs children and adults. She recently retired from state service as an Associate Attorney with Mental Hygiene Legal Service, where she worked in four field offices throughout Suffolk County.

Wendy is an active member of the Mayor’s Alliance of New York City – a coalition of more than 150 non-profit shelters and rescue groups working to find loving homes for adoptable dogs and cats at city shelters. She has also volunteered her time with various organizations serving veterans. She served on the Democratic committee and ran for NYS Assembly in 1993, (Smithtown) and volunteers every Fall for various local and national candidates. She has been a member of Pachamama Alliance since 2004 – an organization founded to protect the Amazon rainforests.She also collects clothing donations for the homeless.

Wendy earned B.S. degrees in both Sociology and German at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and earned her J.D. from New York Law School. She enjoys training and riding her two rescued Premarin horses, as well as training and showing her dogs in obedience competitions.
